The Falkland Islands are 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time in winter, and 3 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time in summer when local clocks are advanced one hour.  As Britain advances clocks one hour in summer this means that for a few months each year (Falklands winter, British summer) there is a 5 hour time difference between the Falklands and Britain.  Please note that some local households, particularly on West Falkland, do not advance their clocks to summer time.
